For as long as I can remember, I have felt a gentle but persistent pull toward the world of healing. I always knew my passion was to help people — to ease their pain, to support their well-being, and to be of service in a way that felt meaningful. Life took me on many detours, but no matter where I went, I always found myself drawn back to the field of health and healing.



At first, I studied Western medicine, thinking it was the path I was meant to follow. While I deeply value the knowledge and structure it offered, something inside me felt out of alignment. I longed for an approach that looked beyond symptoms and addressed the deeper layers of who we are — body, mind, and spirit. That longing is what opened the door to alternative healing, and ultimately, to Reiki.

My Reiki journey began with a commitment to my own self-healing. I realized that in order to truly guide others, I first needed to connect with and care for myself. When I discovered Reiki, it felt like coming home. As a Japanese Canadian, I felt an immediate resonance with this practice, rooted in Japanese tradition yet accessible in such a gentle, universal way. Reiki allowed me to tune in to my heart’s wisdom and reconnect with the vision I wanted for my life. It reminded me to follow what made my soul sing.

Through my personal healing journey, I began to study Reiki more deeply, growing both my knowledge and my trust in its power. Alongside Reiki, I explored holistic medicine, weaving together tools that honor the whole person rather than just the surface. This hasn’t always been an easy road — raising two children while creating a life that felt authentic and fulfilling required patience, resilience, and faith. But every challenge shaped me into the healer I was called to become.

What I have discovered along the way is that my deepest passion lies in helping others heal at the roots — gently releasing what weighs them down so they can experience true health, not just in their bodies but in their whole being. Reiki has the ability to touch people on levels that words often can’t reach. Time and again, I have witnessed the profound shifts it brings: stress melting away, clarity returning, hearts opening, and lives changing in subtle yet powerful ways.

This is the vision behind Waves of Ki — a space where I can share the knowledge, wisdom, and love that I have been blessed to receive. Reiki has transformed my life, and I feel honored to offer it as a source of healing and renewal for others.
